How to care indoor jasmine well

Light

All type of jasmines will grow best in a sunny and bright location around 1 or 2 feet away from a west- or south-facing window and you need to provide a slightly acidic if you are going to plant in a pot, the soil need to well-drained with good organic content such as humus soil. although the jasmine should get at least six hours of sunlight each day, but the main thing you need to remember about the light is put them with indirect light or partial light.

Watering

During the winter season the growth slows down so keep in mind that you can cut back on the watering and fertilizing process . And make sure it’s in the proper planter. You can also plant them on hanging pot as they allow for vines to cascade from containers, creating a unique visual effect.

Pruning

To maintain shape or control the size of its jasmine, it can be pruned, but stop pruning by August 1 because plants sets flower buds in late summer. You should ensure that your plants experience cooler temperatures and shorter days in early fall to encourage flower bud formation for the next season. The temperatures between 40- 50°F at nighttime is needed by plant for 4-5 weeks , plenty of sunlight, and the complete absence of artificial light after sundown.Before frost you have to give them the direct sunlight for somtime and bring the plant indoors with cool temperatures until it blooms again in late winter.

Repot
